ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A Ross County woman was taken into custody earlier this month after being indicted on a felony drug possession charge, according to court and jail records.
Casside Fury was indicted in Ross County Common Pleas Court on September 4, 2026. Court records show the original charge was listed as aggravated possession of drugs under Ohio Revised Code 2925.11, while the indicted charge is listed as possession, a fifth-degree felony.
Following the indictment, prosecutors requested the issuance of an arrest warrant. Court records show the warrant and a certified copy of the indictment were subsequently issued to the Ross County Sheriff’s Office.
The warrant was served on September 12 at approximately 2:07 p.m. by Deputy Nott, according to the court docket. Jail records show Fury was booked into the Ross County Jail approximately two minutes later at 2:09 p.m.
Fury appeared for arraignment on September 14. Court records indicate a recognizance was filed and the case was scheduled for a pretrial conference on October 13 at 1:30 p.m. Pretrial supervision requirements were filed the following day.
A September 16 court entry states Fury was found to be indigent and that counsel was appointed to represent her.
Jail records also list a probation violation in addition to the drug possession charge. However, the records reviewed do not establish the circumstances surrounding that entry or whether it is directly related to the newly indicted felony case.
Fury is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
