A Cincinnati woman is facing a felony charge in Ross County after authorities allege she conveyed prohibited items into a detention facility.

According to court records, Diara L. Owens, of Cincinnati, Ohio, was indicted on one count of Conveying into a Detention Facility, a third-degree felony under Ohio law.

The indictment was filed on March 13, 2026, with a warrant issued the same day for her arrest. Records indicate the warrant was later served by the Ross County Sheriff’s Office on April 21, 2026.

Court filings show the case remains open and currently undisposed, and has been assigned to Judge Matthew S. Schmidt. The case was also recently transferred to another judge or court, according to docket entries.

At this time, no additional details regarding the alleged incident have been released through the court record.

As with all cases, the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
