The most serious charge read at Friday’s felony arraignments in Franklin County Municipal Court was a first-degree felony aggravated burglary count against a 23-year-old Whitehall woman.
Amber Thomas is charged in case 2026 CR A 018737 with aggravated burglary, at the grade alleging physical harm was inflicted, attempted, or threatened, according to court records. The sheriff’s booking record gives her full name as Amber Nadia Thomas. The case is listed under Columbus jurisdiction, and the arraignment sheet does not describe the incident behind the charge or identify any other person.
Franklin County Sheriff’s Office records show Thomas was arrested on October 29, 2026, and booked into the Franklin County Corrections Center at James A. Karnes (booking 20261029026). Bond had not been set as of her arraignment in courtroom 4D.
Thomas is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court. A Franklin County grand jury will decide whether the case is indicted and moves to the Court of Common Pleas.
Heritage Headlines is seeking the Columbus police report in this case and will update readers as more is released.
