A Ross County woman who was previously granted community control with strict conditions has been booked back into the Ross County Jail after being charged with child endangering.
According to jail records, Margaret Garman, 32, of Ross County, was arrested on June 22, 2026, and booked into the Ross County Jail at approximately 10:46 a.m. She is currently being held on a child endangering charge with a $2,000 cash or surety bond.
The arresting officer is listed at Michelle Gillman.
Court records show the latest charge comes just weeks after Garman was placed on community control in a separate case involving a child. On May 13, she pleaded guilty in Chillicothe Municipal Court and received a suspended 20-day jail sentence along with two months of community service. The court also ordered her to complete a mental health evaluation and counseling, abstain from drugs and alcohol, submit to random testing, undergo an alcohol and drug assessment, and comply with all directives from Children’s Protective Services.
Less than a week later, a probation violation complaint was filed, alleging she failed to comply with the conditions of her supervision. Following a hearing, the court continued her release but again ordered her to complete a mental health evaluation before being released and warned that further violations could result in incarceration.
Court records indicate another probation violation entry was filed on June 18, shortly before her latest arrest on the new child endangering allegation.
The new charge remains pending, and Garman is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
