Philadelphia police continue a major investigation into a residential property in the Olney section after recovering more than one million digital images and videos that appear to show women unconscious or deceased.
The case centers on Eugene Horsch, 44, who owns the West Chew Avenue home, and his father Raymond “R.C.” Horsch, who lived there until his death in 2025. Eugene was arrested June 19, 2026, during a traffic stop. Authorities recovered firearms, controlled substances, and counterfeit federal credentials. He faces federal charges related to those items and remains in custody. He has not been charged with homicide or related offenses involving the missing women.
Subsequent searches of the property uncovered a large volume of digital media, containers of chemicals, urns containing what are believed to be human remains, and other evidence. Investigators have reviewed a portion of the files and identified dozens of individuals. Several images and videos depict women who appear injured, unconscious, or lifeless inside the residence. One video shows R.C. Horsch with a woman who becomes unconscious after a zip tie is placed around her neck. Police emphasize that no human remains matching the missing women have been recovered and that the visual evidence still requires corroboration.
Authorities have publicly connected the home to at least five women believed to be deceased and additional missing persons cases spanning years. Families of some of the women have been notified. The investigation involves Philadelphia police and federal partners. Officials have described the material as extensive and dark while stressing the need for physical evidence.
The matter remains active. Eugene Horsch’s current charges stem solely from the June arrest. No charges have been filed against him in connection with the images or the missing women at this time. Pennsylvania authorities continue to examine the evidence under standard criminal procedure and evidentiary rules.
