CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Ohio University Chillicothe will mark 80 years on Thursday, Sept. 17.
The campus lists an anniversary celebration from 6 to 8 p.m. that evening on the Chillicothe campus. Ohio University has not posted a full public program in its campus news brief, only the date, time, and location.
Fall semester 2026 is already underway. Campus news said Welcome Week events started the term for new and returning students. Ohio University also reported that it welcomed nearly 7,700 new students across all campuses and online programs this fall.
OU-C remains one of the main public higher-education options in south-central Ohio, with ties to local employers, teacher preparation, and health programs that feed the regional workforce.
The same day’s campus calendar also lists a Handshake and lemon shakeup event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for students.
