Tell us about your veteran: help us honor the veterans of south-central Ohio

Veterans Day is Wednesday, Nov. 11, and this year we want to mark it with the people who served right here at home.

Send us a photo of your veteran: your dad, your mom, your grandfather, your sister, your neighbor, yourself. In uniform or out, from any era. Tell us who they are, and on Tuesday, Nov. 10, we will publish a tribute featuring the veterans of south-central Ohio, with their names, their service, and your words about them.

How to send one in

• Email a photo to info@heritageheadlines.com
• Include your name and town, the veteran’s name, their branch of service, and their years of service if you know them
• Add one line about them: a memory, a story, or just what their service means to you
• Send it by Sunday, Nov. 8

By sending a photo, you are giving us permission to publish it in the tribute and on our Facebook page, with credit to you.

We will take submissions from all of our coverage counties: Ross, Pickaway, Pike, Scioto, Gallia, Vinton, Highland, and Franklin.

They stood up for all of us. Help us stand up for them, one name and one photo at a time.
