Man Reported Injured After Van Rolls On Top Of Him On Three Locks Road

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Emergency crews responded Thursday evening to a mutual-aid medical call on Three Locks Road after a van reportedly rolled on top of a 44-year-old man, according to public dispatch audio.

The call was aired at about 7:42 p.m. The house number was withheld on the public audio feed. The location was given as Three Locks Road, Chillicothe, OH 45601.

Radio traffic said a medic was needed for a 44-year-old male with injuries after a van rolled on top of him. Units on the air included 1200, the Scioto Township Fire and EMS designation, on mutual aid with 1800, Franklin Township Fire and Rescue.

A short time later, a responder told dispatch the man was still under the vehicle and asked whether a rescue was en route to extricate him. Dispatch was then told, “He is out.”

MedFlight reported it was available to fly and could be on scene in a matter of minutes because a crew was already in the air. Dispatch told MedFlight to stand by until more information was available. Crews discussed setting up a landing zone across from Station 2, at the corner of Airport Road and 30th Street, and said they would drop an advance crew at the scene before setting up the zone.

It was not clear whether the helicopter launched, where the man was taken, or what his condition was.
