CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A man previously sentenced to nine years in prison for multiple burglary convictions in Fairfield County is back behind bars following an alleged supervision violation.
According to jail records, 42-year-old Eric M. Boice was booked into the Ross County Jail on October 8, 2026, at approximately 8:40 a.m. The booking lists a probation violation, with the Ohio Adult Parole Authority identified as the arresting agency.
Records maintained by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction show that Boice was previously convicted of multiple third-degree felony burglary offenses in Fairfield County under case number 2015CR0419.
Boice received an aggregate nine-year prison sentence. State records indicate he was admitted to prison on April 5, 2016, and list February 9, 2026, as his expected release or parole eligibility date.
Following his incarceration, Boice was placed under Adult Parole Authority supervision.
Approximately eight months after his listed release or parole eligibility date, Boice is once again in custody.
Although the jail booking identifies the charge as a probation violation, state correctional records indicate Boice was under Adult Parole Authority supervision.
The specific circumstances surrounding the alleged violation have not been disclosed in the available records.
Boice remains listed in custody at the Ross County Jail, with no bond indicated on the booking record.
An alleged supervision violation does not necessarily indicate that a new criminal offense has occurred.
