Lancaster Man, 20, Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash in Vinton County

Elijah Brandenburger, 20, of Lancaster was killed Saturday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash in Vinton County.

The crash happened around 3:30 p.m. October 10 on Kelly Road near Murphy Remy Road in Richland Township.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Brandenburger was driving a 1998 Toyota Camry northeast on Kelly Road when the car drifted off the right side of the roadway. It struck an embankment and a tree, then overturned.

Brandenburger was pronounced dead at the scene by Vinton County EMS.

Vinton County EMS, the McArthur Fire Department, and the Vinton County Sheriff’s Office responded. The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol’s Jackson Post.
