Residents of Ross, Pickaway, Highland, and Fayette counties can drop old household appliances for free on Thursday, September 18 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Ross County Fairgrounds.
RPHF Solid Waste District is running the event. No businesses.
Accepted (examples)
• Refrigerators
• Air conditioners
• Water heaters
• Stoves
Rules
• First come, first served. They stop when containers are full
• Appliances must be clean (food out of fridges, clothes out of washers). Staff can refuse dirty units
• Rain does not cancel. Severe storms might delay or stop the line
• Not accepted: vapes, CFL and other bulbs, chemicals, hazmat, leaking or damaged batteries, alkaline batteries, aerosol cans, PCB items, medical waste
