Frankfort Man Booked Again Following Theft Conviction

A Frankfort man is back behind bars after being booked into the Ross County Jail early Wednesday morning, according to jail records.

Dakota Lane Richards, 26, was booked into the Ross County Jail at approximately 1:49 a.m. on June 25, just minutes after his arrest by the Ross County Sheriff’s Office. Deputy Taylor Jackson is listed as the arresting officer.

Richards is being held in connection with a first-degree misdemeanor theft without consent charge. Jail records list the charge status as sentenced, indicating the booking followed court action on the case. No bond is listed.

As of the latest available jail records, Richards remains in custody at the Ross County Jail.

All defendants are presumed innocent of new allegations unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. In this case, jail records indicate the theft charge has already reached the sentencing stage.
