A Chillicothe woman now in custody at the Ross County Jail was served with outstanding Chillicothe Municipal Court warrants and is now facing an additional criminal charge.
According to a report from the Chillicothe Police Department, Officer Christopher Claytor served Kimberly A. Molihan, 44, of Chillicothe, with active warrants at the Ross County Jail on July 18. The warrants stemmed from charges of breaking and entering, criminal mischief, and drug paraphernalia.
The report states Molihan was served with the warrants while incarcerated and was provided a court date before Officer Claytor completed the warrant service.
Court records show that on the same date, Ross County Sheriff’s Deputy J. Johansen filed a new complaint charging Molihan with Possession of Drugs, a first-degree misdemeanor under Ohio Revised Code 2925.11(C).
Jail records indicate Molihan was booked into the Ross County Jail on July 18. In addition to the outstanding warrant charges, the jail roster lists the new Possession of Drugs charge.
According to the Chillicothe Municipal Court docket, Molihan entered a not guilty plea at her arraignment. She was released on her own recognizance with conditions that include no drugs or alcohol, and a pretrial hearing has been scheduled for August 20.
As with all criminal cases, the charge remains an allegation, and Molihan is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
