A Bellevue woman has been indicted by a Ross County grand jury on a charge alleging she attempted to bring drugs into the Ross County Jail.
According to Ross County Common Pleas Court records, Cierra M. Medrano, 30, of Bellevue, was indicted on one count of Conveying into a Detention Facility, a third-degree felony under Ohio Revised Code 2921.36. The indictment was filed on June 12, 2026, and an arrest warrant was issued the same day.
Court records show the warrant was served on July 21, 2026, at 2:11 p.m. by Ross County Sheriff’s Deputy Donald Malone. Medrano was then booked into the Ross County Jail.
During her arraignment on July 23, the court ordered that if Medrano is released on bond, she must have no contact with the family of E.R. and comply with Pretrial Supervision (PTSR), including random drug testing and weekly phone reporting.
A pretrial conference is scheduled for Aug. 21, 2026, at 11:15 a.m. before Judge Michael M. Ater.
An indictment is a formal accusation and is not evidence of guilt. Medrano is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
