According to Chillicothe Municipal Court records, Steven Anthony Echard Jr., 35, pleaded guilty on October 13, 2026, to first-degree misdemeanor domestic violence stemming from an October 7 incident investigated by the Ross County Sheriff’s Office.
Echard had previously been charged with domestic menacing in September and released on his own recognizance before being arrested again on October 7 for domestic violence and unlawful restraint.
Following his guilty plea, Echard received an eight-day jail sentence, with credit for eight days served, a $100 fine, and $447 in court costs. He was also ordered to comply with a no-contact order, complete counseling, and remain under probation supervision.
However, before Hopewell Heritage Headlines could publish its original case follow-up, Echard was booked into the Ross County Jail again on October 19, 2026.
His latest booking lists five charges: obstructing official business, possessing drug abuse instruments, endangering children, probation violation, and disorderly intoxication.
The circumstances surrounding the latest arrest have not yet been established, including whether the probation violation is connected to his recent domestic violence conviction.
The latest charges are allegations, and Echard is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
