Bainbridge Woman Arrested After Indictment on Felony Drug Charges

A Bainbridge woman is being held in custody after authorities served an arrest warrant stemming from a Ross County felony drug indictment.

According to Ross County Common Pleas Court records, 33-year-old Shannon R. Maughmer of Bainbridge was indicted on May 15 on two felony drug charges. The case originated with one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a third-degree felony, and one count of possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a fifth-degree felony.

Court records show a warrant was issued following the indictment and later served by the Ross County Sheriff’s Office on June 11. Maughmer was subsequently booked into the Ross County Jail, where jail records indicate she is also being held on a parole holder through the Adult Parole Authority.

Maughmer appeared for arraignment on June 12 before Judge Michael Ater. During the hearing, the court set bond at $10,000 cash, surety, or real estate. If bond is posted, she will be placed under pretrial supervision, including weekly drug testing requirements.

A criminal pretrial conference has been scheduled for July 9.

As with all criminal cases, the charges are allegations, and Maughmer is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
