CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Families across Ross County and southern Ohio can beat the summer heat with free family-friendly movies every Thursday morning at Danbarry Cinemas in Chillicothe.
The 2026 Free Summer Movie Series, presented in partnership with the Chillicothe & Ross County Public Library, kicks off this week and runs through late July. Showtimes are at 10:00 a.m. each Thursday at the theater located at 119 Pawnee Road.

• June 25 — DogMan
• July 2 — The SpongeBob Movie: The Search for SquarePants
• July 9 — Smurf
• July 16 — Minecraft Movie

• July 30 — How to Train Your Dragon
Doors open one hour before each show. Concessions will be available, but outside food and drink are not permitted. Seats are first-come, first-served and not guaranteed, so arriving early is recommended.
