BAINBRIDGE, Ohio – The Village of Bainbridge will dedicate the new Nathaniel Massie Park at 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6, according to the Village of Bainbridge Water Department.
The park is a new veterans memorial plaza in the village. It has a brick plaza, memorial stones honoring the service branches, including the Navy and the Marines, a flagpole at its center, and shaded pergolas with benches and picnic tables.
The park is named for Nathaniel Massie, the surveyor who founded Chillicothe in 1796 and was a leading figure in the early settlement of the Scioto Valley.
The water department announced the dedication time in a post this week and said more details would be posted ahead of Friday.
