The Carver Community Center is a longtime gathering place for families in Chillicothe, and the building could use some love.
In a statement this week, Ross County Resource Connect said the center is in need of a facelift and asked the community for help getting it done.
Some of the work is already behind them. Grant funds have helped with the center’s bathrooms, and the roof leaks have been repaired. What remains is the rest of the interior.
The post lists three things most needed:
- Drop ceiling tiles
- Paint and painters
- Light fixtures that fit a drop ceiling
The need is easy to see. Ceiling tiles inside the center are sagging, water stained and cracked, and the rooms are ready for fresh paint and working light fixtures.
Anyone who can donate materials, or volunteer their time and labor, can reach out to the Carver Community Center or to Ross County Resource Connect for the details.
