Southern Ohio Woman Charged with Drug Possession After Overdose Response and Ross County Warrant Arrest in Circleville

Circleville, Ohio — A woman from Ashville was arrested on an active felony warrant from Ross County and now faces an additional drug possession charge after police responded to a drug overdose at a home in Circleville.

According to Circleville Police Department reports, officers responded to 212 Huston Street on May 17, 2026, in reference to an active drug overdose. Upon arrival, officers located Tiffany Bennett on the kitchen floor. She was displaying labored breathing and was not alert or oriented.

One dose of naloxone was administered. Bennett then became alert enough to be helped to a seated position. Officers spoke with another individual at the scene who admitted to recent fentanyl use and indicated Bennett may have used a laced substance.

Emergency medical services responded and transported Bennett to OhioHealth Berger Hospital. After she was medically cleared, officers took her into custody on an active felony warrant out of the Ross County Sheriff’s Office for aggravated possession of drugs. She was transported to the Ross County Jail.

While at the jail, Bennett turned her pockets inside out. A white rock substance was discovered. She told staff it was a crack rock she had forgotten was in her pocket. The substance was collected as evidence and later submitted to the Bureau of Criminal Investigation in London for analysis.

Police subsequently requested a warrant charging Bennett with possession of drugs under Ohio Revised Code 2925.11, a fifth-degree felony.

On May 21, 2026, Bennett was arrested on the warrant at 28 Paint Street in Circleville and transported to the Pickaway County Jail.
