Ross County Woman Arrested on Outstanding Drug Warrant After Missing Court Hearing

A Ross County woman who failed to appear for a scheduled court hearing earlier this year has been taken into custody on an outstanding bench warrant connected to a felony drug case.

According to Ross County Common Pleas Court records, 46-year-old Faynia M. Vulgamore, of Chillicothe, was originally indicted on one count of Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a fifth-degree felony. The indictment was later amended to Possession of Drugs, also a fifth-degree felony.

Court records show the indictment was filed on December 12, 2025, and an arrest warrant was issued the same day. That warrant was served on March 3, 2026, and Vulgamore appeared for arraignment the following day.

At arraignment, the court released Vulgamore on an own recognizance bond with pretrial supervision, including weekly reporting and drug testing. A pretrial conference was scheduled for April 6, 2026.

However, records indicate Vulgamore failed to appear for that hearing. As a result, the court revoked her bond, issued a bench warrant for her arrest, and ordered her taken into custody.

The bench warrant remained active for more than two months before being served by the Ross County Sheriff’s Office on June 24, 2026.

Jail records show Vulgamore was booked into the Ross County Jail on the afternoon of June 24 and is currently being held on the outstanding felony warrant. No bond has been listed.

The underlying felony drug case remains pending in Ross County Common Pleas Court. As with all criminal cases, the charge is an allegation, and Vulgamore is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
