CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A Massieville man is facing felony drug charges following a recent indictment.
According to court records, Charles M. Richards, of Massieville Road in Chillicothe, was indicted on two counts of Possession of Drugs, both classified as fifth-degree felonies under Ohio law.
The charges were initially filed as Aggravated Possession of Drugs, but were later reduced to standard possession charges as part of the indictment.
Court filings show the case was officially opened on April 10, 2026, with a warrant issued for Richards’ arrest the same day. The warrant was later served by the Ross County Sheriff’s Office, and returned on April 29, 2026.
The case remains open and pending, and is currently assigned to Judge Michael M. Ater in Ross County Common Pleas Court.
At this time, no further details regarding the circumstances of the charges have been released.
Richards is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
