CHILLICOTHE, Ohio – A 50-year-old man is charged with felonious assault after a stabbing on Winona Boulevard Wednesday evening, and his case is now in Chillicothe Municipal Court.
Albert H. Scoles II was arrested by Chillicothe police on Oct. 14 and booked into the Ross County Jail that night. Court records show a second-degree felony felonious assault case was filed against him Thursday, Oct. 15, in Chillicothe Municipal Court. It was the only felony case filed in that court that day.

According to the Scioto Post, officers were sent to the 100 block of Winona Boulevard around 7:45 p.m. for a reported stabbing. An officer held Scoles at gunpoint until a second officer arrived, and police took three knives from him, including a Buck-style knife on his hip that appeared to have fresh blood on the blade, the report said.
The man who was hurt was treated at Adena Regional Medical Center for a cut to the left side of his rib cage, according to the report. Police also collected home security video from a neighbor.
The booking record lists the charge as felonious assault, victim seriously harmed, and shows him held without bond.
The case remains under investigation by the Chillicothe Police Department.
Unlike some other publications, Heritage Headlines does not publish the names or identifying information of crime victims.
Scoles is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
