A 28-year-old Columbus woman was booked into the Franklin County Correction Center on August 1 in connection with an alleged violation of a protection order.
According to Franklin County Municipal Court records, Kayla Renae Wade, of Columbus, is charged with Violation of a Protection Order or Consent Agreement, a first-degree misdemeanor under Ohio law.
Court records indicate the alleged offense occurred on July 12, 2026, in the area of 4770 Hoover Road. The complaint was filed by the Grove City Police Department.
A warrant was initially issued on July 13, before the case was reopened on August 1 following Wade’s arrest. Jail records show she was booked into the James A. Karnes Correction Center on August 1, 2026, where she is currently being held without bond.
An arraignment is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on August 3 in Franklin County Municipal Court.
As with all criminal cases, the charge is an allegation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
