Columbus Man, 33, Faces Burglary and Robbery Charges Alongside Older Felony Cases

A Columbus man with felony cases reaching back to 2024 was back in Franklin County Municipal Court on Wednesday, arraigned on burglary and robbery charges in one case and a felony fleeing charge in another.

Ahmed Mohamed, 33, is charged in case 2024 CR A 005757 with burglary and robbery, both second-degree felonies, under Reynoldsburg jurisdiction, according to court records. A second felony case, 2025 CR A 020029, charges failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer under Dublin jurisdiction, and companion misdemeanor cases charge domestic violence and aggravated menacing. Sheriff’s records also list additional older felony counts and a Fairfield County hold on his booking. The court records do not describe the incidents behind the charges.

Franklin County Sheriff’s Office records show Mohamed was booked into the Franklin County Corrections Center at James A. Karnes (booking 20261027031), with arrest dates of October 27, 2026, listed on the burglary and robbery counts. Bond had not been set as of his arraignment in courtroom 4D.

Mohamed is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court. The felony cases are expected to go before a Franklin County grand jury, which will decide whether to indict and transfer them to the Court of Common Pleas.
