Circleville Pledges $25,000 Toward Uptown Circleville Director’s Salary for 2027

Circleville City Council has agreed to put $25,000 toward the salary of Uptown Circleville’s executive director in 2027.

Council passed a resolution on Sept. 15 authorizing the city auditor to enter into a pledge agreement with Uptown Circleville. The money comes from the city’s general fund and covers the 2027 calendar year. Mayor Michelle Blanton approved the measure the same day.

The city’s pledge is one piece of a broader arrangement in which several government entities share the cost of the position, according to the resolution.

Uptown Circleville is the nonprofit that works to encourage growth and retention of businesses in downtown Circleville.
