A Chillicothe woman was booked into the Ross County Jail over the weekend after authorities served an outstanding warrant stemming from a pending theft case in Chillicothe Municipal Court.
According to court records, Crystal Marie Schmidt, 40, of Chillicothe, is charged with theft, a first-degree misdemeanor, under Ohio Revised Code 2913.02. The complaint was filed on March 9, 2026, in connection with an alleged incident that occurred on December 11, 2025.
The case originated with the Chillicothe Police Department, with Officer C. Althouse listed as the complainant.
