Chillicothe Police Respond to Early-Morning Shots Fired Call on South Paint Street

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — Chillicothe police responded to a report of shots fired early Sunday morning in the area of South Paint Street.

According to a Chillicothe Police Department report, officers were dispatched to the area of 287 S. Paint Street at approximately 5:24 a.m. on October 4 in reference to reported gunfire.

Multiple officers responded to the area, with police arriving on scene shortly before 5:30 a.m. The initial narrative states that officers were dispatched for “shots fired” and that the investigation was pending at the time the narrative was written.

The report was ultimately classified as a non-criminal incident and lists the disposition as “Closed No Current Leads Or Followup Information.” No arrests or criminal charges are listed in the report.

The incident was cleared shortly after 6 a.m.
