A Chillicothe man is currently in custody following multiple charges, including domestic violence and theft, according to jail and court records.
Kiante Omeka-Malik Carter, 26, is being held at the Ross County Jail after being booked on April 27, 2026, by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Court records show Carter is facing charges of domestic violence and theft, both fourth-degree felonies. The charges stem from an incident dated April 11, 2026, with cases filed on April 20, 2026, in Chillicothe Municipal Court.
These charges were filed by Deputy B. Weaver with the Ross County Sheriff’s Office. A probable cause hearing was held the same day, where the court found probable cause and issued warrants.
Bond was set at $100,000 cash or surety in the domestic violence case and $25,000 cash or surety in the theft case.
