Chillicothe Man Arrested on Domestic Violence Warrant, Held on $20,000 Bond

A Chillicothe man is being held in the Ross County Jail after being arrested on an active domestic violence warrant that carried a $20,000 cash or surety bond.

According to court records, Tevin D. Thomas, 33, of Chillicothe, was the subject of a warrant issued by Chillicothe Municipal Court on June 5. The charge stems from an allegation of Domestic Violence, a first-degree misdemeanor under Ohio law.

Court documents show that during a probable cause hearing on June 5, the court found probable cause and set bond at $20,000 cash or surety, ordering that no summons be issued in lieu of arrest. A warrant was subsequently issued for Thomas.

Jail records indicate Thomas was taken into custody by Ross County authorities on June 22, 2026, and booked into the Ross County Jail at approximately 5:59 a.m. He is currently being held pending further court proceedings.

The charge listed in jail records alleges that Thomas knowingly caused physical harm in connection with the domestic violence accusation. The case remains pending in Chillicothe Municipal Court.

As with all criminal cases, the charge is an allegation, and Thomas is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
