Chillicothe Man Arrested Following Alleged Stalking Investigation

A Chillicothe man was arrested following an investigation into alleged stalking and harassment incidents on Yaples Orchard Drive, according to the Chillicothe Police Department.

Police reports show officers were initially dispatched on April 16, 2026, to a residence on Yaples Orchard Drive regarding a threats complaint. The case involved allegations of telecommunications harassment, criminal trespass, and menacing by stalking.

According to the report, the female complainant told officers that 45-year-old Ryan Lee Milella had allegedly been repeatedly messaging her, leaving letters in her mailbox, and appearing at her residence despite being told to stop contacting her. The complainant stated she had previously advised Milella she was not interested and did not want him coming to her home.

Investigators documented allegations that Milella left handwritten notes in the mailbox and was observed on the property through a home camera system. Officers also noted that the complainant requested Milella be formally barred from the property and wanted charges pursued.

A supplemental report dated May 16, 2026, states the complainant contacted police again after Milella allegedly arrived at the residence in a white Dodge Ram truck and entered the driveway. Officers later located Milella at another address in Chillicothe.

According to the report, Milella admitted to driving to the residence and speaking with the complainant. Officers detained him and transported him to the Ross County Jail, where he was booked on a charge of Menacing by Stalking.

The report states Milella was scheduled to appear in Chillicothe Municipal Court on May 18, 2026.

All suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
