Chillicothe Man Accused of Violating Protection Order, Held on Parole Violation

A Chillicothe man is currently being held in the Ross County Jail after being arrested on allegations involving a protection order violation and a parole holder.

According to jail records, 37-year-old Stephon David Cunningham was arrested on May 18, 2026, by the Chillicothe Police Department. Officer Donald Arbogast was listed as the arresting officer.

Records show Cunningham is being held on a parole holder in addition to a first-degree misdemeanor charge of violating a protection order or consent agreement. Bond on the protection order violation was listed at 10%.

Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction records indicate Cunningham had previously been sentenced in Ross County Common Pleas Court on multiple felony offenses, including burglary and drug possession charges. ODRC records show he had been under APA supervision following his release.

At the time of publication, the charge remains an allegation, and Cunningham is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
