Man, 25, Charged With Felony Aggravated Vehicular Assault in Dublin Case

A 25-year-old man was arraigned Tuesday in Franklin County Municipal Court on a felony aggravated vehicular assault charge filed under Dublin jurisdiction.

Francisco Ibarra is charged in case 2026 CR A 018470 with aggravated vehicular assault, a third-degree felony, at the grade alleging the assault resulted from a violation of Ohio’s operating-a-vehicle-under-the-influence law, according to court records. A companion traffic case, 2026 TR C 146578, charges OVI and a lane violation. The court record does not describe the crash behind the charges or identify any other person involved, and court records list a Florida address for Ibarra.

Franklin County Sheriff’s Office records show Ibarra was arrested on October 26, 2026, and booked into the Franklin County Corrections Center at James A. Karnes (booking 20261026023). Bond had not been set in the case as of his arraignment in courtroom 4D.

Ibarra is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court. The case is expected to go before a Franklin County grand jury, which will decide whether to indict and transfer it to the Court of Common Pleas.
