A Galloway man was arraigned Saturday in Franklin County Municipal Court on a first-degree felony rape charge, the most serious case on the court’s Saturday docket.

Eric Bauman, 57, is charged in case 2026 CR A 018105 with one count of rape, a first-degree felony, according to court records. The arraignment sheet lists the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office as the arresting agency and gives no details about the incident behind the charge, and no victim is identified in the court record.

Sheriff’s records show Bauman was arrested on October 23, 2026, and booked into the Franklin County Corrections Center at James A. Karnes (booking 20261023028). Bond had not been set in the case as of his arraignment in courtroom 4D.

Bauman is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court. Felony cases filed in municipal court are typically presented to a Franklin County grand jury, which decides whether to issue an indictment and move the case to the Court of Common Pleas.
