The Franklin County Board of Commissioners has awarded a $1,936,722 contract for drainage work on Kropp Road in Pleasant Township.
Resolution 0643-26, adopted Oct. 6, awards the contract and approves the contract bond for Layton Trucking Inc., doing business as Layton Services, for the Kropp Road Drainage Outlet Improvement Part 2 project.
County Engineer staff told the board the bids were opened Sept. 1 and Layton Services was the lowest and best bidder. County Engineer Adam Fowler’s office is overseeing the project.
The work is paid for with Ohio Public Works Commission funds and is meant to improve drainage along Krebs Ditch in the township, which sits in southwestern Franklin County along the U.S. 23 corridor.
The resolution does not set a construction start date. This is the second part of the Kropp Road drainage outlet improvement.
