MCARTHUR, Ohio — A Vinton County grand jury on Friday indicted a 40-year-old South Bloomingville man on 21 charges stemming from an investigation into alleged sexual abuse of two children.
Brandon Henderson Sr. faces one second-degree felony count of endangering children, two third-degree felony counts of endangering children, four third-degree felony counts of gross sexual imposition, four fourth-degree felony counts of gross sexual imposition, eight fourth-degree felony counts of sexual battery, and two first-degree misdemeanor counts of endangering children, according to an announcement from Vinton County Prosecutor William Archer, Vinton County Sheriff Ryan Cain, and Ohio Attorney General Andy Wilson.
Henderson, identified in jail booking records as Brandon Scott Henderson, was arrested Friday without incident by deputies from the Vinton County and Ross County sheriff’s offices along with agents from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation. He was booked into jail that day.
The investigation began in December 2025. The Vinton County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from BCI’s Special Victims Unit after receiving allegations of sexual abuse involving two children. The probe led to the grand jury action Friday.
A second South Bloomingville man, Josh Saunders, 23, was indicted in the same investigation on three first-degree felony counts of rape and one third-degree felony count of gross sexual imposition. He was also arrested Friday.
The cases are being prosecuted by the Vinton County Prosecutor’s Office with assistance from the Highland County Prosecutor’s Office and the attorney general’s Special Prosecutions Section.
Ohio Attorney General Andy Wilson said the charges include alternative counts, which allow prosecutors to present different legal theories of the same alleged acts to a jury.
The charges against Henderson are allegations. He is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
