LIMA, Ohio — A teenager who was just 14 years old when prosecutors say he participated in a drive-by shooting that wounded two other juveniles is now incarcerated in the Ohio prison system following a lengthy sentence handed down in Allen County.

Kamari Page, now 15, was sentenced in September to 22 years in prison in connection with the October 12, 2025 shooting in Lima.

According to reporting from WLIO, prosecutors said a 17-year-old and a 15-year-old were struck by gunfire during the shooting. A 13-year-old was also on the porch at the time but was not reported as being shot. Prosecutors described the incident as part of an ongoing series of retaliatory acts between two groups of teenagers.

Page was one of four juveniles reportedly taken into custody in connection with the incident. He was 14 years old when the shooting occurred.

Records from the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction now show Page was admitted into state custody on September 30, 2026, and is currently listed as incarcerated at the Correctional Reception Center. ODRC lists his inmate number as A865523.

State records show Page’s case included three counts of felonious assault, one count of discharging a firearm on or near a prohibited premises, and one count of having a weapon while under disability. The ODRC record also reflects firearm-related and mandatory prison terms, with portions of the sentence ordered to run consecutively.

During sentencing, Allen County Common Pleas Court Judge Jeffrey L. Reed addressed the seriousness of juveniles using firearms, warning that young people who shoot guns can end up in prison. Reed also expressed concern about the broader problem of teenagers becoming involved in gun violence.

Page apologized for his actions during the sentencing hearing. According to WLIO’s account of the proceeding, Page told the court he had found the firearm in a vehicle approximately a month before the shooting.

The ODRC record indicates Page received 352 days of jail-time credit on the weapons-under-disability portion of his case.

Despite being only 15 years old, Page’s transfer into ODRC custody means he is now serving his sentence within Ohio’s adult correctional system.
