West Virginia Woman Booked Following Drug Trafficking Conviction

A Huntington, West Virginia woman was booked into the Scioto County Jail on Friday following a previous Scioto County drug trafficking case.

According to jail records, Ashley Nicole Rivas, 32, was booked into the Scioto County Jail on August 1, 2026, at approximately 9:16 a.m. Jail records list charges of trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs.

Court records show Rivas was previously convicted in Scioto County of first-degree felony aggravated trafficking in drugs. On April 21, 2026, she was sentenced to 5 to 7½ years in prison, with five years of the sentence being mandatory. The remaining charges in that case were dismissed as part of the disposition.

The court had stayed execution of the prison sentence until July 31, 2026. It was not immediately clear from the jail records whether Friday’s booking was related to the execution of that sentence or to a separate criminal matter.

As with all criminal cases, the charges listed in the jail record are allegations unless and until proven in court.
