COLUMBUS, Ohio — A tip regarding suspected drug trafficking led Franklin County investigators to seize cocaine, a firearm and approximately $862,000 in suspected drug proceeds, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation began in June 2026 after a task force officer with the sheriff’s Special Investigations Unit received information alleging that multiple individuals were trafficking narcotics from a residence in the 1300 block of East 25th Avenue in Columbus.
Investigators said they eventually identified two individuals believed to be primary sources of narcotics being distributed from the residence.
On July 31, detectives executed three residential narcotics search warrants connected to the investigation. Authorities reported finding felony quantities of cocaine, one firearm and approximately $862,000 believed to be proceeds from drug activity.
The sheriff’s office said criminal charges are pending against individuals involved as the investigation continues. No names were released in the announcement.
