CHILLICOTHE, Ohio: Three separate burglary reports landed within about 90 minutes of each other on Saturday afternoon, October 17, two in the county and one in the city.
The first came at 1:54 p.m. on Adams Avenue in Chillicothe, where city police were dispatched on a burglary report. At 2:28 p.m., a Ross County deputy was sent to Skiver Road on a possible burglary. At 3:17 p.m., another deputy took a burglary report on Owl Creek Road in Frankfort and started an investigation.
The departments’ logs do not say whether the three reports are connected, and nothing in them suggests the same person was involved. All three were still under investigation in the logs.
Three reports in one afternoon is a good reminder of the plain stuff that actually stops break-ins: lock the doors even when you are home, keep a light on after dark, and call in the car you do not recognize instead of deciding it is probably nothing.
