Ross County Man Faces Felony Failure to Comply Charge Following Multi-Offense Arrest

ROSS COUNTY, Ohio — A Ross County man is currently being held in the Ross County Jail following an arrest that resulted in multiple criminal charges, including a felony count of Failure to Comply with the Order or Signal of a Police Officer.

According to jail records, 44-year-old Robert L. Woodard was booked into the Ross County Jail on May 28, 2026. The charges filed against him include Failure to Comply with the Order or Signal of a Police Officer, a fifth-degree felony, as well as misdemeanor counts of Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated (OVI), Using Weapons While Intoxicated, Obstructing Official Business, Resisting Arrest, Endangering Children, and Menacing. The arresting Officer is listed as Deputy Woodbridge.

Jail records indicate Woodard is being held on a $50,000 cash or surety bond associated with the felony failure to comply charge. A separate no-bond hold is also listed in connection with the menacing charge.

The allegations stem from an incident investigated by Ross County authorities on May 28. Additional details regarding the circumstances leading to the charges have not yet been released.
