A Ross County man is facing multiple criminal charges after being arrested by the Ohio State Highway Patrol on Friday evening.
According to Ross County Jail records, Calvin Lee Kempton, 31, was arrested at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 1 by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and booked into the Ross County Jail shortly afterward.
Kempton has been charged with:
- Possession of Drugs (Schedule I or II substance)
- Having Weapons While Under Disability, a third-degree felony
- Endangering Children – Creating a Substantial Risk, a first-degree misdemeanor
- Possessing Criminal Tools, a first-degree misdemeanor
Jail records indicate a $1,000 bond was set on each of the two misdemeanor charges. As of the latest jail update, no bond had been entered on the felony charges, and the case had not yet received an initial court disposition.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is listed as the arresting agency. Additional details regarding the circumstances leading to the arrest have not yet been released.
All charges are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
