A Ross County man was arrested twice within a four-day span, first on a domestic violence charge and later for allegedly violating a protection order issued during that case.
According to court records, Jason L. Vaughan Kinnamon was charged with Domestic Violence in Chillicothe Municipal Court on July 9 following an incident reported on July 8. The case was filed by the State of Ohio, and a Temporary Protection Order (TPO) was issued the same day. Court records indicate the order was served by the Ross County Sheriff’s Office.
Two days later, on July 11, Kinnamon was booked into the Ross County Jail on a charge of Violating a Protection Order or Consent Agreement, a first-degree misdemeanor. Jail records show Deputy Thomas Masters of the Ross County Sheriff’s Office was the arresting officer.
Court records indicate Kinnamon was initially arrested in connection with the domestic violence allegation before appearing in court on July 9, where the Temporary Protection Order was issued. He was later arrested again on July 11 and booked into the Ross County Jail on the protection order violation allegation.
While the timing suggests the July 11 arrest may be connected to the Temporary Protection Order issued in the domestic violence case, the court and jail records reviewed by Hopewell Heritage Headlines do not specifically state whether the alleged violation involved that particular order.
A pre-trial hearing in the domestic violence case is scheduled for July 31. As with all criminal allegations, the charges remain pending unless and until proven in court.
