COLUMBUS, Ohio — A Columbus man who has been sitting in the Franklin County jail since February picked up two new felony charges this week and was arraigned on them Wednesday.

Rodney Wilson was charged Tuesday, October 13, with violating a protection order and with menacing by stalking. Both are felonies: the protection order count is charged at the felony grade because of a previous conviction, and the stalking count is a fourth-degree felony.

Wilson appeared Wednesday in Franklin County Municipal Court on the new case while remaining in custody on his earlier February booking. Court filings do not detail the conduct behind the new charges.

  • Arresting agency: Columbus police
  • Jail: Franklin County Corrections Center
  • Bond: Not set on the new charges in jail records as of Wednesday
  • Court: Franklin County Municipal Court, arraigned Wednesday, October 14
  • Note: Wilson has been in custody at the county jail since a February 2026 booking
