Pike Lake State Park in Pike County has added a new community feature that is sure to delight campers and visitors from across south central Ohio.

The park recently installed a Sharing Library at the campground shower house, thanks to the efforts of local resident Ms. Tina Truman and the Garnet A. Wilson Public Library of Pike County. The bright red and gray structure is stocked with books for all ages, including options for kids such as crafts and coloring pages.

Visitors can grab a book to enjoy by the campfire or while relaxing at the lake. The little free library encourages reading and community sharing in one of the region’s popular outdoor destinations.

Pike Lake State Park, located near Bainbridge in south central Ohio, offers camping, cabins, swimming, boating, and hiking. The new Sharing Library adds another family friendly reason to visit this scenic spot in Pike County.

Local residents and tourists alike are encouraged to stop by, take a book, and leave one for others. Park officials expressed gratitude to the library and Truman for making the project possible.
