A Cincinnati teenager who was arrested in June after an assault at a Bainbridge youth center is back in the Ross County Jail, and this time the next step in his case is sentencing.
Liontaz Montray McKinney, 18, was booked into the Ross County Jail on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. Court records in Ross County Common Pleas Court show McKinney pleaded guilty on August 28, 2026, to felonious assault, a second-degree felony. His sentencing is set for Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 9:30 AM before Judge Michael Ater.
The case started with his June 27, 2026 arrest, which Heritage Headlines covered at the time. A Ross County grand jury indicted him on July 24. Since then, court orders have repeatedly had him brought back to Ross County from a youth facility for his court dates, including this week’s booking ahead of sentencing. Court filings in the case include notice that he faces a possible indefinite prison term.
