Lake Hope Dining Lodge is open now, and closed from Nov. 2 to Jan. 4

The lodge kitchen is the reason a lot of McArthur and Chillicothe people drive State Route 278. It is not a camp-store grill.

The lodge’s own page lists Monday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday brunch 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The menu it describes is hickory-smoked meats, Ohio comfort plates, and wood-fired pizza. It does not print a standing price list. Ask before you order if the ticket matters.

That same page says the dining room will be closed Nov. 2, 2026, through Jan. 4, 2027, for HVAC repair and a new boiler. Thanksgiving and Christmas seatings are not being taken this year. Cabins are a separate reservation. A cabin key does not open the kitchen during that shutdown.

The building is at 27331 State Route 278, McArthur, inside the park. If you are driving up for Sunday brunch after Nov. 1, the sign on the door is the one that counts.
