Downtown Chillicothe will host Beachfest 2026: Yacht Rock Edition on Friday, August 21, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at 1 N. Paint Street.
The free family event features Monsters of Yacht, a Nashville tribute band performing 1970s and 1980s yacht rock hits. Organizers invite attendees to wear sailor gear, bring beach chairs, and enjoy cold beverages and music on the temporary downtown “beach.”
Admission is free for all ages, made possible by the Herrnstein Family Foundation, Spaulding Chiropractic, and Kenworth Truck Company. The evening serves as a lead-in to Sand in the Streets, the annual sand volleyball tournament scheduled for August 22-23 in the same area.
Downtown Chillicothe and Visit Chillicothe Ohio list the gathering as a laid-back public party supporting local businesses. The band’s official schedule confirms the Chillicothe date.
