Frankfort Woman Charged with Misuse of 911 Following Westfall Road Incident

A Frankfort woman is facing a misdemeanor charge after Ross County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported misuse of the 9-1-1 system at a Westfall Road residence.

According to a Ross County Sheriff’s Office call log, deputies were dispatched at approximately 11:11 p.m. on July 19 to 6626 Westfall Road in Frankfort after a 9-1-1 hang-up. The incident was classified as “Misuse of 9-1-1 System – report emergency knowing no emergency exists,” and the call log indicates the incident resulted in an arrest.

Court records identify Johnnie Sue Reisinger, 47, of 6626 Westfall Road, as a defendant charged with Misuse of 911, a fourth-degree misdemeanor under Ohio Revised Code 128.96. The criminal complaint was filed July 20, with Ross County Sheriff’s Deputy Jacob JoHansen listed as the complainant. Reisinger is scheduled for a pretrial hearing on Aug. 21, with a jury trial set for Aug. 25 if necessary.

Jail records show Reisinger was booked into the Ross County Jail during the early morning hours of July 20 on the misuse of 911 charge before later being released.

While the Ross County Sheriff’s Office offense report has not yet been released, the available public records indicate the charge stems from the response to the 6626 Westfall Road address, where Reisinger is listed as the resident.

The Sheriff’s Office incident report is expected to provide additional details regarding the events that led to the charge and will be requested when it becomes available.
