CHILLICOTHE, Ohio — A search warrant executed in Ross County led to the seizure of suspected narcotics, according to officials.

The Ross County Sheriff’s Office, working alongside the U.S. 23 Major Crimes Task Force, conducted a search warrant at a residence on South Bridge Street in Chillicothe as part of the ongoing Appalachia Overwatch initiative.

During the operation, agents seized approximately 34 grams of suspected cocaine. Authorities say the substance has been submitted to a crime laboratory for further analysis.

Upon completion of lab testing, the case will be forwarded to the Ross County Prosecutor’s Office for review of potential charges and possible grand jury consideration.

The U.S. 23 Major Crimes Task Force serves multiple counties in the region and works in coordination with local and state agencies to combat drug trafficking and related criminal activity.

All subjects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
